ChexSystems Solutions - Second Chance Checking Banks

ChexSystems Removal

Getting your name cleared from ChexSystems is not an easy task. In fact, most people who try fail. Of course, you can try to hire a credit repair company to get your name removed, but even then, there are no guarantees of success. And, once you’ve paid for the ChexSystems removal service, there are no refunds. The reality is, you have the power to do anything that those credit repair companies can. Credit repair companies have to abide by the same rules and regulations as you do.

If you are considering a dispute with ChexSystems, the 1st thing to do is order your ChexSystems report to see what is exactly on there. You can order one for free at the official ChexSystems website: www.consumerdebit.com

Are you eligible for ChexSystems removal? To find out, ask yourself these questions:

1. Have you tried to talk to your bank’s branch manager to see if they’re willing to remove you from ChexSystems?

If so, then great! However, in most cases, branch managers will not honor this request, unless there were some unique circumstances which caused you to be reported. It wouldn’t hurt to try though.

2. Is all the information correct on ChexSystems?

Is your name, birthdate and social security information correct? Is the reported information correct, such as amount owed, dates and name of the reporting bank?
Once you have received your ChexSystems report, review it to see that there are no errors or inaccuracies. If you do happen to find an error, you should file a dispute with ChexSystems.

3. In your case, has ChexSystems stayed within all governing laws and regulations?

By law, ChexSystems has to follow all rules and regulations as mandated by the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). If they are within the guidelines, then there isn’t much you can do from a legal perspective.

The next step is disputing your ChexSystems report.

I have been on chexsystems for five years; I would like to know if I have been removed from your system before I attempt to open a account at a local bank.Thank you,I look forward to hearing from you. John

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

I was wondering, is it for sure that your name stays on for 5 years tops?

My husband opened an acct with keybank and i was an authorized user, so he overdrew his acct and when i went to my bank they told me they had no choice but to close my acct because keybank told them i owed the money since i was authorized. Is this true? And will i be able to open another bank account since it’s still unresolved?

    Dear Sir or Madam,

My bank account became overdrawn at a time when I became disabled and did not have sufficient income to settle the outstanding amount. I am willing to send you documentation to corroborate this. I accept responsiblity for this however, I had to choose between using my welfare cheque to pay the rent to have a roof over my head or settle my debt with you.

Nobody should ever have to make that choice. As soon as I had the funds available to discharge my outstanding debt to you, I did so. I am not asking for a prize for doing the right thing, but I am asking for your kindness and consideration in view of my circumstances. The amount has been paid since October last year and I just found out that I will be in your database for five years. Does ChexSystems offer a second chance on an individual basis? What can I do to be removed from your website? I would appreciate your input. Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Diane

      Hi Diane,

Just to clarify – ChexAccount.com is not affiliated with ChexSystems so it would do you no good to ask us to remove your name from the ChexSystems database. And, to answer your question, no ChexSystems does not give second chances. They could care less about how you got reported. ChexSystems only acts as record-keepers. The bank that reported you is really the one in control.

You have 2 options you can try at this point. Start with option 1, then 2 if the first option isn’t successful.

      1. Go down to the local branch of the bank that reported you and talk to the branch manager. Explain the situation to him/her and see if they would be willing to request the removal of your name from ChexSystems.

      2. File a dispute with ChexSystems. The success rate for this one is low if your information is correctly reported to ChexSystems. Here’s a guide on how to file a dispute: http://www.chexaccount.com/chexsystems-dispute/
